The 65th Annual American Hop Convention: this traditional 3-day event will be expanded to 5 shorter days to create a more enjoyable virtual format. Convention sessions will be held Monday through Friday, January 18 to 22, 2021.
Hop Research Council Winter Meeting research reports, discussions with researchers and a Virtual Poster Session are being incorporated into the virtual Convention schedule as they have been during past on-site events. The Members Meeting will be held on January 13, 2021 with information provided directly to members by the HRC administrative team.
Business and Committee Meetings normally held during Convention week, including the HGA Annual & Board meetings, US Hop Industry Plant Protection Committee, National Clean Plant Network for Hops, and HGA Best Practices Committee, are scheduled for the week of January 11-15. Convention registration will not be necessary to participate in these meetings. Details will be forthcoming from the various organizations as to when their meetings will take place.
Cascade Cup results will be announced by the Hop Quality Group on Friday, January 22.

HGA sincerely appreciates the efforts the Idaho Convention Committee has invested during the past year, and are saddened the pandemic has required the cancellation of the exciting event they were planning to host in Santa Rosa. The Idaho team asked HGA to organize the 2021 virtual event, but will be back to host the 2023 American Hop Convention in Santa Rosa, picking up where they left off this year!
