4th Annual Cascade Cup Announced!

The Hop Quality Group proudly presents the 4th Annual Cascade Cup to take place at the 60th Annual Hop Convention.

Competition results will be announced during the Rare Beer Banquet on January 21, 7:00 pm at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Hotel.

For the fourth year, the Hop Quality Group will be holding the Cascade Cup at the American Hop Convention, ordaining one Cascade grower to rule them all (until next year).

Submissions are judged by a panel of brewing professionals in the Hop Quality Group who will pick a winner based on appearance, aroma, and hop analysis in a blind competition. To participate, growers are asked to send one brewer’s cut of their finest Cascade hops – whole leaf only – one submission per farm.

In addition to the brewer’s cut, participants are also asked to include the USDA analysis and Lot # for your submission. Submissions are due by January 10, 2016. All entries will be refrigerated. 

While there is only one trophy to hoist, participants will be gifted a variety pack of hoppy beverages brewed by breweries in the Hop Quality Group.
